Sloane update. She's said a few different things over the last few weeks that suggest she's doing a bit better. But she also just did an ask me anything on her Stories, and while plenty were lighthearted, someone asked her what she's reading right now and her current book is "Beating the Unbearable: Love, Loss and the Heartbreaking Path of Grief." Yeah. So, understandably, it truly might be awhile before she's in the right headspace.

Some kind of Q&A with Roger on the Doha page. I didn't watch, but given it's a half hour, putting here instead of the tournament thread.

Another unrecognizable one for me. I thought her hair was lighter. *sigh*

I recognized her fine this time, but I definitely think her hair looks a different shade here. Like I wonder if she got it done and it's not just the light in this photo, because the tips in particular tend to be more blonde and this almost looks like a light brown mixed with a touch of auburn brown.

Not a drop of make up combined. Maybe Sloane's eyelashes (and yes, I know she is made up to look like she is not made up :p )
The WTA is pretty "bad" in that aspect. I know Naomi has a contract with Sisheido but apart from that, all the girls are always pretty much without three layers of base. I wonder if they are even a possible endorsee for make-up companies.

Is that really bad? I see it more as a plus than minus...

Bad in the sense that the women do not get to enjoy those endorsements and the money that could come with it. You and I are in agreement that the women of the WTA are a group of very pretty young women that exude a healthy looking beauty image. For us, it is a plus. For any of the girls, who are not being offered a cool $500K from Revlon or Estee Lauder or any other company... well, I guess they could use that extra cash.
Even Garbiñe, no stranger to fashion and certainly a big name in Spain, has no beauty products endorsements (or I can't find them).

That's true, albeit was it any different with past top players? Maybe beauty product companies choose actresses instead as their brand ambassadors. Perhaps a better fit albeit I don't really know, just speculating here. :)

When Ivanovic did not have a major "beauty product" endorsement, you know that those companies were not looking at the WTA as a source of income.
Will leave it to somebody else here to tell me if Ivanovic had or not such a deal. I don't recall.

There are definitely makeup endorsements among the WTA players besides Naomi. A ton? Don't think so. But several have them for sure, but that doesn't necessarily mean they cake on the makeup at every appearance or in every photo just because they are brand ambassadors for them. Also, the best makeup is that which you don't even know is there many times. I don't always recognize them because some of the brands are country-specific or regional, but they are there. Like Sveta, she's with a company I can't name, because those posts are always in Russian. She'll post most things in both English and Russian, but not things such as that where the audience target is clear.

Sloane is with Estee Lauder.

Petra is with L'Oreal and L'Occitane.

I'm not sure if Revlon sponsors anyone on tour.

Ivanovic was with Shisedo if memory serves. She was definitely with someone, even if that's not the right company, but pretty sure it is.

Haha, that's cute. All are wearing mascara. Kontaveit's also wearing lip gloss at least and Kerber has a full face of "natural"-looking makeup. Both Sloane's and Kerber's hair is done, probably professionally.
