Meanwhile Alexandrova is quietly making a run...beating Pavlyuchenkova here is quite a feat..Swiatek next .let us see what she can do this time!

Swiatek's spun second serve is certainly attackable, especially here on hard courts...Noskova showed how to do it! Some tall player like Rybakina can reach those bouncing balls nicely, though not on clay...Alexandrova has an exceptional return, so does Vika ..maybe they can fight her close, in addition to Ryba..only Alexandrova is in her path directly though..

Took out Alcaraz last year (I forget the tournament). Given some time, why not? He has enough power, and the era of three guys dominating everything is over.
Could be in the mix (just like 20 other guys).

Yes, a champion.ashkor87 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 3:33 amIga is a GREAT player, not just good...meganfernandez wrote: ↑Mon Mar 25, 2024 2:38 am Cold-blooded answer by Iga when she was down love-40 trying to serve it out at 5-4 in the third. Four quick winners and a service winner. That's a champ. She amped up her serve once she was in the hole. Fearless.

Marozsan has a pedestrian record of 19-17 on a main tour. Despite this he has already 3 top ten wins to his credit. Even though his demeanor is nothing like Kyrgios's, he clearly also has that something making him get up for a big challenge. Potentially could be a big match player like Wawrinka. Bigger the occasion and stronger the opponent - better he plays. His game is also quite well-rounded. So far movement is a weakest part, but this can be improved a lot with just proper training. IMO he is not "like 20 other guys".

An excellent tournament for Garcia so far. Back to back wins over Osaka and Gauff.

Was it Ashkor who said the court would not help either Osaka or Gauff?

Can we now say with confidence that Osaka's return to the tour has been poor? For sure now going to do nothing till the summer hardcourt season.

I would say it is incomplete..she is not fully back yet...and yes, we (and she) will have to wait till the summer US circuit...

Of course it could still pick up steam, but early signs are not promising. I wonder what's missing. She's only 26 years old.

The Billionaire Battle featured a tight first set ended by Pegula romping through a TB 7-6(1). It's two all second set.
