The deleted post was showing how many seeds are now out of this event.

Sinner refused to play his next match after his match ended at 4 am or some such ungodly hour. Good for him! More players need to stand up the crass, greedy, unfeeling creatures who run tournaments.

What is the solution? Because in tennis, you don't know how long will the match before yours last. 1 hour, straight win for somebody, or 3:30 for two other people.
This is not the NBA or the NFL, with a clock game. In tennis, you walk out there not knowing how long it will take. And hard to change that unless we go to no-ad scoring (and we know how that goes).

They could have put him as the late match again. I haven't seen a good reason published yet as to why they couldn't.

the solution is obvious - dont start matches after a certain time - push them to the next day.

Or as Brad Gilbert said, move to another court (that was open).

I can't find it now but Stan wawrinka offered a similar complaint although it was singles to doubles

At some point, the player would havre to pay twice a day to catch up, then, once a one-week event gets to the point where they play every day. Late the next day is the best they can do and still have the final on Sunday.

Thyey should have put Sinner last on Cneter or the other court. They loaded up Center with 6 matches and only had 4 on the smaller court,

They need to manage buffers better .I have a separate post on that

Ben Rothenberg pointed out that save for Monte Carlo Djokovic has won every M1000 or Grand Slam 3 or more times

Monte Carlo is a tournament that Djokovic plays most years, but he hasn't had much success in recent years.
