Seems like Coric was amped for this match-up and has "wanted it more"

I didn't hear - I only unmuted in the post match interview with coric and they said how he didn't stop pushing even though rune was injured. They said rune's pace got less and then he retired mid-way through 2nd set

Coric is the modern day Gasquet. He has flashes and luck which keep him in the mix. I'll always like him, but he'll never get "there". Both also handsome men to me.

Which is really surprising, given his penchant for not giving a (expletive) when he is playing.
The same guy that loses in 1R at the Aussie, comes back and wins his immediate next tournament. He is completely schizophrenic.

Yeah, Bublik's all over the place. When he's on, he does some really amazing things. Other times he plays like a complete amateur. Usually you get a mixture of both versions in the same match. To be fair to Bublik though, he was pretty solid in the semi against Auger-Aliassime and the final against Coric. He was very close to being dumped out in the second round by Shapovalov, though. Lost the first set 6-1 and had to save 3 match points in a tie break in the second.

It is surprising to me that this (losing first set in every match) has never occurred before.
