We only lost 2 players today, and I don't think I have to tell anyone that picking Camila Giorgi is always STANK. She hates tennis and doesn't care about her results, just the paycheck so she can support her creepy parents.

IF I could love this post, I would. For me, Camila Giorgi is the gift that just keeps on giving. :gorgeous:

The second time this SP that I've been shocked by the number of people who picked her...

She is going against the #102 player, in a third round of a slam, barely weeks after winning a tournament.
It is not a bad pick, on paper.
Go ahead, just paint her red. No reason to wait any longer.

Bogdan hardly has a massively impressive record historical, although I admit I haven't really followed results too much (as seen be the fact that this is the first time since December I have checked in). Given my previous picks, it didn't seem that bad.
It seems like time is going backwards towards 1984 . . . :freaking:

It wasn't pretty, but Badosa came back to save my pick (and today's largest bandwagon)

Maybe. On the other hand, she just barely beat Any Bogdan. That means she can lose to anybody else left in the draw.

But as you know it's not uncommon for a player to be on the verge of bowing out before going far in a tournament.

I didn't pick her yesterday as I thought as well she might make the semi's in that quarter. I planned to pick her in the QF and Sabalenka in the SF. Ha, the joy of planning ahead in these pools.

I had preferred to keep Vondrousova as well, so to be able to choose the winner of that match in the QF whoever it was, but didn't feel safe enough picking in one of the other matches.. But hey, Vondrousova got me through, so we live to die another day!

We had 2 no picks for Day 7, which leaves us with 45 players remaining. A ridiculous number of you are pinning your hopes on Kostyuk--hmmm (on the other hand, all of my bad feelings this tournament have ultimately been nothing)

The numbers:

Marta Kostyuk 20
Ons Jabeur 17
Karolina Muchova 5
Elina Svitolina 2
Barbora Krejcikova 1

Hmm. With those first results today could go very well for me. Good luck everyone...
