Somebody that is ranked exactly 100 places below her looked too dangerous?
You certainly know way more about this sport than I do

I try to avoid taking low seeds against very young players (20) possibly underranked.

I see someone actually picked Rakhimova! It wasn't me, though.

The picker in question is a regular risk taker

Alexandrova is a non-starter for me. Her wins and losses are extremely erratic.

It shows me as having no pick for day 2, when I picked Kontaveit. I think the day 2 thread shows that (post #93). Just want to make sure I’m still alive, for now. Thanks for running these!

It shows Day 2 Kontaveit, and for day 3 Collins. You have posted your day 4 pick.
Let's give JT a little time to fix that.

I also try to avoid picking matches with qualifiers in the early rounds. I think it was too late at night when I picked Alexandrova - I meant to pick Rybakina.

I count 89 still alive for Day 5. I'm headed out of town for a few days, and ponchi has graciously stepped up to volunteer to run things while I'm gone. Play nice, all!

It looks like it's going to be a huge Krejcikova bandwagon today, kind of makes me worry :? . On paper looks like she is supposed to win, but had many times when I crashed on large bandwagons where it looked to be an easy pick )). Hoping we all survive today

Got to love a big (bad) bandwagon, right? I only hopped on after checking out most of today's h2h numbers as wel as the potential next round h2h numbers and this was the best option, statistically speaking. So yeah, I'm fooling myself into thinking stats and SP's mix well :bananas:

We start the day with 90, and no NO PICKS. These are the picks for day 5:
Krejcikova 52
Svitolina 16

Jabeur 9
Halep 4
Osaka 4
Kerber 2
Muguruza 1
Sabalenka 1

Stevens 1

Krejcikova is the clear bandwagon, and I believe it is a solid pick. But, she is playing a qualifier, and maybe you saw the analysis I did. Plus, if I say it is a solid pick, that should send shivers down your spine.
We are guaranteed to have some losses as we have picks from the same match, on both sides.
I have updated your individual picks in the initial page of this topic. Please take a look to be sure I copied the right pick.
If anything is wrong, I will still blame JT. But I will correct it ;)
