Funny how both groups absolutely mirrored each other in terms of results and the schedule by days (and even the sets):
On day 1:
#2 beat #3 in 2 sets
#1 beat #4 in 2 sets
On day 2:
#3 beat #4 in 2 sets
#1 beat #2 in 2 sets
On day 3:
#1 beat #3 in 2 sets
#2 beat #4 in 3 sets

That third set in the last game ruined it :D it even made the tiebreaker scenarios mirror each other the whole time.

What a dominant performance by Sinner. Was never even close to losing a set.

Can't imagine anyone beating Sinner on a fast court. He should win the AO too..his level never drops, that is what is so amazing..Alcaraz' level rises higher sometimes but also drops inexplicably..in a year or two, he will get more consistent.
The rise of Fritz will please Americans thirsting for an American champion..he is certainly getting there, though I still don't expect him to win a major...he is simply not in the league of Sinner and Alcaraz..but sometimes being one of the 3 best players is good enough to have a shot at the title..which he would be, at Wimbledon, for instance

By sinner not dropping a set (and hence being undefeated) he got the bonus...

...and yet was still only 80% of what the six Kings slam paid

1500 points is a lot. 75% of a Slam. Hard to put money equivalent on this, but I suspect Sinner cares about those - they are creating solid foundation to his #1 spot.

I feel Fritz's chances for a slam are dependent on Sinner and Alcaraz getting bumped out early on an off day. His game is on par with Zverev. I wouldn't have picked Taylor to be top 5 3 or 4 years ago, impressed by his improvements.
