Iga over Emma, 2 & 1.
With luck.
Svitolina will take down Maddie.
And, as a gift to Novak, Alex will make Sinner play longer than what he wants.

Good win for Keys.

I really think she will beat Swiatek if they play in the semifinal. My pick before the tournament was Sabalenka over Keys in the final. I would love to be wrong about that because no one deserves a slam title more than Keys, who when she is healthy for a significant stretch can beat anyone on a hard court, including Sabalenka. But would she hold her nerve, as she did not do in their U.S. Open 2023 semifinal?

Keys certainly has a chance of beating Swiatek..she has the game, just not the class..25% maybe ..i was not very impressed with Keys' win over Svitolina..i only saw the first set, though, but intensity was not that high .

I agree that it was not a great match, but just as she did against Rybakina, Keys played her best in the third set.

She is not playing at the top of her level, but she is capable of getting there.

6-1 6-2 doesn't do justice to Navarro ..every point was contested...

Keys and Swiatek played on hard courts twice in 2022. Swiatek won the first meeting 6-0, 6-1 and lost the second one 6-3, 6-4. If Keys is a little off, it could get ugly despite my prediction. It all depends on her getting up on Swiatek early in one of the first two sets and making her level drop. I agree Navarro played well tonight, and she made zero headway.

Checked..yes, Keys won at Cincy and Iga won at IW. This court and conditions are in between the two ..slower than Cincy,, faster than IW.

Another factor is that Keys is 1-5 in GS SF's and Swiatek 5-1.

Woznizacki talked a bit today about Keys and her nerves.

There's a bit of a controversy among fans about what looked like a double bounce. I saw it at full speed and it looked like it was a double bounce but nothing was called if I'm remembering correctly.
