US women are doing fine.
Let's see if Amanda can keep it going.

If Anisimova wins on Saturday, imagine the mega endorsements she will be getting. Possibly more than Gauff, who I think is the face of New Balance. One story line could be getting over her mental health issues.

I'm not so sure. Amanda isn't upbeat or perky or a media darling. I don't think she is a transcendent star like Gauff - the spotlight loves her and she likes it well enough. Amanda is a little more dry, sarcastic, reserved, etc. We'll see but I don't expect superstar status. I want her to win, though!

She is very well endorsed already. Her on court contracts are very good.
But a photogenic American at the top? Sure, add $5MM at least.

Is Max Eisenbud her agent? If so, she will cash in some. But she's not going to be everywhere all of a sudden. She's more edgy than America's Sweetheart. I don't think she will be pitched or perceived as the next Sharapova or Gauff.

The Tennis Letter

Amanda Anisimova says that when she took her mental health break from tennis, a lot of people told her she would never make it to the top again:

‘Just me being able to prove that you can get back to the top if you prioritize yourself.. that’s been incredibly special to me. It means a lot.’ 🥹

When I was looking this stat up, I was surprised that it was relatively recently (in 2017) when we had 3 different American women in the finals of slams in one year. I forgot that Venus was still flying high during late 2010s. But if Amanda wins - it will be something that didn't happen since 1981 (Evert, Austin, Navratilova)

Now...
Swiatek 70%
Anisimova 30

Sounds right?
