Like Djokovic did against Machac, I expect Sabalenka to get her act together and demolish Andreeva, but she definitely needs to play better than in her first three matches to do it.

Lehecka is in top form and will be a better litmus test for Djokovic than Machac was.

If Danilovic is really that good, she should beat Badosa today..we will find out.
The court is slower than Andreeva would like...sabalenka playing really well today

Expert Robson saying Andreeva needs to stand a bit further back on return like Maneiro did..where she is standing the ball is bouncing too much

Poor quality from both now..Saba also relaxed too much, spewing unforced errors

Back-to-back double faults by Gauff killed her in first set. Still an issue.

I genuinely felt that Lehecka could be too much for Djokovic at this time. What I did not realize and what became apparent after watching: even though Lehecka does everything at a very high level, he does have set patterns and they are very predictable. Too predictable for Djokovic not to exploit this.

Djokovic won the tournament he cared about by far the most last year, beating an in-form Alcaraz for Olympics gold. Alcaraz wanted that match so much he cried on court after he lost, but he lost in straight sets to a less-than-100-percent healthy Djoker.

That's my way of saying I see no slippage in Djokovic's game. Guess we'll find out in the rematch with Alcaraz, and then maybe against Zverev and then maybe against Sinner.

I think Alcaraz is a clear favorite in that one.
Or just my wishful thinking.

UMMMMM.....OK.....

So, you apparently spend every day with Novak and Carlos, and, at the time of the tennis Olympics, you daily confirmed all of their vital signs, to definitively confirm how Novak was less-than-100-percent and Carlos was in-form....after, at age 21, having won brutal titles at Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Killing Novak in the Wimbledon final, btw. AND, as I do recall, Novak threw out every trick in the book with the media during the Olympics playing with Carlos‘ head....which, oh, btw, he was 21 at that time. I mean, it worked, so more power to Novak. Fair game.

OH, and Carlos cried on the court after a devastating loss.....at 21. Shocking. OH, and BTW, Novak, as an adult, blew MULTIPLE shots at Olympic gold medals, and also BLEW winning the Grand Slam because.....HEY, even Novak is....gasp, human. Every player on the planet has choked. The Olympics brings out The Bizarre with tennis players....gold medalists Puig!!!! Bencic!!!! Massu!!!!! Roger never won an Olmypic singles gold medal Carlos sure did choke at the Olympics, as Carlos was very open about choking during the previous year's Roland Garros SF against Novak.

SO, in any case, it does not take a genius to see that the level of Novak has slipped. Does this mean that he cannot win another Slam title or 2 or 3....of course not. I mean, I assumed he had already sold what meager remnants remained of his dank soul for that Olympic gold medal. But, who knows....he could still pull out some great tennis when he needs it the most and or the youngsters could all choke.
