She had 13 double faults, but Sabalenka had 20 of them.

Seems like that Wimbledon final was ages ago. Rybakina and Jabeur out, with little fanfare.
Well, grass leads to odd results.

There could be another match up that happened in Wimbledon in this final. Anisimova versus Gauff.

Can't visualise Anisimova getting there...court is too fast for her.

Then I guess you think either Shelby Rogers or Kudermetova will take her out? Kudermetova who served 13 double faults in her previous match and was really only pretty lucky because Sabalenko was even worse. I don't see that at all. Shelby Rogers could defeat her though.

Coco loses the 1st set to Paula Badosa in a tie breaker and then gets broke right off the bat. It doesn't look good for Coco in the 2nd set at all already.

Yep, Coco didn't look good at all in the 2nd set and lost it 2-6. Losing the match to Paula Badosa 6-7, 2-6.

A bit surprised of the score for Badosa/Coco.
Badosa is a puzzle to me. She can barely survive a match, or she can retire easily, or pull out a wonderful 3 set win, and then beat another top player with ease. She is truly random.
Coco is starting to enter (to me) that territory in which age is no longer a reason for some defeats. She just beat Osaka, and goes down rather tamely in the second set.
Side note: I really do not understand the WTA. Which is most likely the case.

I could tell as soon as she lost the tie breaker, which it shouldn't have gotten to that anyway because Coco was up a break and serving for the match. She served 3 double faults in the game to win the set and then the set went to the tie breaker, which she lost. After that, I knew she was done. She was broke by Badosa right away in the 2nd set and it was all downhill from there.

It seems like Coco either has that killer instinct or she falls apart really quickly.

Coco should have won the first set..served 3 DFS when serving for the set....overthinking it, perhaps.

PS- it is said of the great Gonzalez that he Never once got broken when serving for the set...don't know how true that is but still..
