Canadians Marino, Zhao, and Sebov get main draw WildCards, along with Venus Williams and I believe Elsa Jacquemot from France (Tennis Canada has this stupid 'agreement' with Tennis France that they give each other one WildCard spot for their national tournaments) - although maybe that France WildCard is only for qualifying - I'm unsure about that. Diane Parry should have gotten it over Jacquemot, in any case.

A by-product of this is that it looks like Genie Bouchard (for those who remember her) will not be playing in Toronto, as this former 'queen of Canadian tennis' was not awarded a WildCard.

I'm sad to see that Qinwen withdrew...
Several other notable withdrawals, as well. Par for the course, I suppose...

Leylah is confirmed for Toronto (the doctor apparently said 'OK' :). )
And her younger sister Bianca is in the Final of the pre-qualies for the last qualification WildCard.

Marie Bouzkova would be a great fantasy player to add if she makes it through the qualifiers which I would think she would.

Yeah, if Marie Bouzkova makes it into the draw I think I will drop Pera and add Bouzkova to my team. Then just keep it that way until before the US Open where I will have two more moves.

It looks like Bianca Andreescu has a rough road.

Is it a "road" if it's only one match ? :)

Kenin - Stephens looks like an interesting match (and not just because I have both on my team...)

Yes, it looks like the kind of match that Daria would actually relish. Cornet and Garcia should be no issue, and Jabeur in the third round is doable.
And, for the 1,000th time, I did not pick her in my team. After even posting it (I edited). Idiot.
