JUST IN: The jury has another note.

The jury is asking for the judge's instructions again.
Judge Merchan wants them to clarify whether they want the entire instructions again or a particular portion thereof. He is going to bring them in, the alternates included.

Judge Merchan has dismissed the jury for the day. They return tomorrow at 9:30 am. The lawyers and the judge will remain to iron out what portions of the testimony will be read back to the jurors tomorrow.

No good was ever going to come of this. Whatever the result, Trump, his team, the Republican party, Fox et al. would have weaponized it. And they have. All of them are in too deep to take any kind of step back. Free speech is great, but once that's become synonymous with a sickening level of demanding to be allowed to say whatever the **** you like about whoever and whatever, it's pretty much lost it's value. Things will get worse, and I fear for just how much. America may just drag the rest of the world down with it.

I turned off the tennis and put on MSNBC. Maddow emphasized that the jurors, the lawyers, the judge, and their families will have to be protected.

She's now saying that he will run on his "belief" that the US system of government is corrupt and needs to be overturned.

Understand what the Trump verdict means: That, IN FACT, Trump unlawfully cheated to win the 2016 election.

Then the election law felon went on to nominate 3 SCOTUS judges.

What profound injustice to us all that our system has no mechanism to right this history-altering crime.
