I am waiting for BHM to break through to the next level.. not sure what is stopping her? she seems to have everything, including the leftie advantage.. why hasnt she won a major yet? or even a big WTA 1000 event?
saw a longish video of her match against Siniakova.. BHM appears a little sluggish, often not in position, ends up hitting balls short - good leftie serve, really good volley etc. On a fast court, she may struggle a bit more.. of course, we dont yet know what the USO court is really like, at least I am not able to see a match long enough to judge. It is very blue, that is for sure!

USO courts as usual will vary significantly depending day or night and stadium or outside.

Kessler! My head is spinning already, trying to keep up with these (really good) new players, not to mention the various Wangs, whom I have simply given up trying to track..

Kessler the latest success from the college game. I was surprised to see that she is already 25.

Maybe BHM will have more success at doubles than singles ..

C'mon, guys. Week before a slam, not the toughest of fields, players not risking it too much because one extra effort that gets you injured means you have to pull out of the USO and its enormous 1sr round prize money.
As said above, she is already 25. With the win, has achieved a career high ranking of 63. Let's hope she does well, but I would not buy a lot of stock in that company.
