some juicy matches today.. Sinner-Michelsen, Osaka-Muchova both interesting, though I dont expect Sinner to lose. Osaka could lose, but Muchova is the kind of subtle, crafty player whom she cannot just blow away - the opposite of Ostapenko in fact. Meanwhile, Michelsen is one of the few really aggressive players who loves to volley..

Muchova is currently my favorite player to watch. Such a silky smooth technique. I think she'll beat Osaka.

Errani served and volleyed on three consecutive points against Dolehide late in the second set and won them all.

I had not seen her play in years. Her first serve is still weak and her second serve is still slower than slow, but she did not double fault once when I was watching and never served under-handed. She was coming to the net at every opportunity, which she never did when she was a top-10 player.

Rybakina should take the rest of the year off and get herself back together.

I bet nobody had Diallo as the Canadian (singles) player who would win (at least) two more matches that the rest combined.

LOL, WE did. John and I saw Diallo play a few matches and win the Chicago Open a few weeks ago. We were very impressed with him- lots of skills. Excellent serve- which can crack at times- solid groundstrokes, and he comes to the net at mostly the right times. We went up to him and his coach to congratulate him/them, and I told Diallo that he very much belongs on the main tour.

I am TELLING you all, play in Chicago, and watch your career improve big time. Great to see Diallo doing so well. Emma Raducanu, Ben, Safiullin, Michelsen, Kovacevic. LOL, heck, even Aussie Schoolkate, who played in Chicago last year, is doing well at the Open.

They're saying he's 6'8" tall - 2.032m and can move really well. He also has great court sense. You should've seen the looks on the faces of Grosjean and a man I presume is Fils father in that fourth set. I wonder if they underestimated what Diallo's level of play is.

....AND Naomi does a full reenactment of her flippin' Iga Roland Garros match. She served for the second set, 40-0--- and horrendously missed easy and/or very makable shots. Saves one match point in the tiebreaker....and then fluffs a put-away shot to have saved what would have gotten her even in the second set tiebreaker. Happy for Muchova and all. But, UGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
