Guess Alcaraz was ok as he beat Rublev in straight sets.

Ruud will win the group now if he beats Zverev later today.

And Zverev does win in two sets.

So both groups in same spot - no one through, no one out yet. Like Sinner, Zverev just needs one set even if he loses.

it is clear it is going to be Sinner and Medvedev, Zverev and Alcaraz.. which means Sinner meets Alcaraz in the semis, Zverev meets Medvedev.. that would seem to lead to a Sinner-Zverev final, or a Sinner-Medvedev, which Sinner will surely win..

Remember what happened last week when someone spoke in absolutes and said Gauff could neither beat Zheng nor Sabalenka. I'm predicting Sinner too but nothing else is even close to clear for me.

Plus with Medvedev playing Sinner today, quite possible 1 of them isn't moving on, especially if Fritz wins in straight sets.

With deMinaur taking the first set vs Fritz, that should be enough to clinch a semifinal spot for Sinner.

Oh I know, but a good reminder than whenever one of us says "this is for sure going to happen" it usually doesn't. :)

Fritz won in 3 sets and that eliminates DeMinaur, and Sinner is through.

Mevedev will win group with a straight sets win, and is out with a loss.

If Medvedev wins in 3, Fritz gets the second spot due to head to head win over Medvedev (Sinner would get first from best set % and then would go to H2H between the two.) Fritz cannot win the group.

It's very hard to beat Sinner on this surface.

And that's why I say never say anything is clearly going to be the case :)
