The Champions Trophy featuring all the cricketing nations, has started. Today is India vs Pakistan - the contest of the tournament...two catches though- India has refused to travel to Pakistan, on security grounds, and it is not going to be a close match- India is a far superior team, I expect it to be a blow-out though Bumrah, the world's most lethal fast bowler, is recovering from injury. Had he been playing, there wouldn't have been any doubt at all...

Woof..a close one. India beat NZ too, undefeated now. India has the advantage of playing all its matches in Dubai .which is practically home with the huge Indian population there..because India refused to play in Pakistan, citing security....security or not, turned out to be a good stand ! All other teams are playing in Pakistan..of course, India can always claim, rightly, to be more at risk than anyone else..

Yes, but Australia also was missing a couple of key players...to injury etc. their team is geting older, India seems to have an inexhaustible bench...young players, in their teens, popping up. It is because of an extremely lucrative league called the Indian Premier League where every major city has a team and they play each other round the year..young players kerp popping up. It is a lesson for all sports...
