The greatest athletic performance one ever saw.
That would be a lively debate.

One of the greatest and most respected horse trainers of all time, D. Wayne Lukas (a.k.a., The Coach), passed away yesterday at the age of 89. He was recently diagnosed with a blood infection, and after discussing his treatment options with his doctors, The Coach opted to refuse further treatment and entered hospice care at his home.

Blood Horse posted the following obituary.

I'll put this here...

Ron Turcotte, the Canadian jockey who rode the great Secretariat to the U.S. Triple Crown in 1973, has passed away. He was 84.
