First, of course, huge thanks to Dave G., Ponchi, JT and us winners. After a dismal Pool year for me, this ended up being a very pleasant surprise. LOL, back in the prehistoric period of 2011, I "wimped out" and went with my "head" and chose Maria vs Petra to win Wimbledon. I had purposely saved Petra in my Pool choices...and then I gave up on Petra and lost my precious little imaginary gold medal. (Mind you, not choosing Petra to stay around turned out to otherwise be the smart choice for almost the entire rest of Petra's Slam career. Still.......) SO, this time I insisted on picking my very favorite male player Carlos for the win. Redemption 14 years later!!!!! Nevertheless, if my beloved Carlos ever drops his level even a little bit, I shall drop him like a dead fish!!!! Because, as we all now know, all that truly matters are tlose imaginary Pool trophies. Precious!!!!
