No. That is not what a democracy looks like.
In a democracy, the citizens remain calm and confident that proper justice will be handed. In a democracy, people do not march in a city because, first, law enforcement officers do not shoot people just like that and second, if they do, the system works to find out what really happened.
That is exactly what a democracy does not look like.

21-year-old activist injured by ICE:

I will be blind for life. I have fractures in my skull that they can't fix. They pulled a piece of plastic the size of a nickel out of my eye. I had shards of metal, glass, and plastic behind my eye and in my skull. They said it was a miracle I survived.

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

For 180 years (1836-2016), Texas had embraced the cheap, immigrant labor from Mexico and Central America. It was easy to get a job, buy a car, get a DL, buy insurance, rent an apartment, and even buy a house for (illegal or undocumented - your choice) workers....many even started businesses.

I think it's worth pointing out that part of why the twin cities has a large Hmong population is because of refugee resettlement after the Vietnam war.

They sided with the US.

#ICE kidnapped four members of the Oglala Sioux Nation and is trying to hold them hostage to force the Sioux to work with #DHS. Working on tribal land would give them legal impunity, so they've been trying to bribe or force Native tribes to work with them across the country. The natives are standing strong-- they don't take bribes and don't negotiate with terrorists.

We need more leaders in Congress who understand the assignment like this.

I understand Twin Cities schools are going to remote learning as all people don't feel safe sending kids to school, ICE have already shown up at a school.

A friend that lives there said restaurants are operating on limited menus to protect kitchen staff from having to come in.

Pretty damn dystopian.
