Pliskova vs Stephens! very intriguing.. generally would expect Sloane to win but is she match-fit? winning through qualies would suggest she is.. but we shall see.

Sloane is only cashing her last checks. She lost interest long ago.
A career of underachieving. She could have held three slams, with that game.

Re: '26 AO Day 3 OoP & Discussion
Almost a crazy ending to the Khachanov-Michelsen match in the fifth set.
From 2-all, deuce, Khachanov won 13 points in a row to go up 5-2, 0-40. Michelsen saved the three match points and ended the game with three consecutive aces, then saved three more match points and had a break point to get back on serve. A little later, at deuce, he had an easy putaway at the net and hit it right back to Khachanov, who fired a passing shot and finally closed it out on the next point.
Michelsen beat Khachanov in straight sets in the third round at the Aussie Open last year, so his ranking will take a hit. He's still young, but he's underachieving.

Re: '26 AO Day 3 OoP & Discussion
I watched the Pliskova-Stephens, although while mutl-tasking.
Pliskova has barely played in a year and a half, so her first set was shaky, but she looked pretty good in that second set. I think she'll get tired quickly though.
I don't know if Stephens "lost interest." I think that's a bit unfair. And she doesn't need to play qualies if she lost interest. She's been struggling physically. She looked tired.
