I have questions... First, what is Juan Carlos Ferrero thinking at this moment? Second, what is Zverev's state of mind like right now? I mean, he was SO close to making a final without Alcaraz or Sinner across the net. Third, was this note high enough for Novak to gracefully walk away? Or does this reinvigorate him and motivate him to hang around a little longer?

Reaching the final of a hard court slam, with 38 years old knees, was amazing. I would give it one more run at W.

And, I would say that Zverev must be close to realizing that those words he said at the beginning of his career were prophetic. He was a future world #1 that never made it to #1. And never won a major.
If he could not beat a cramping Alcaraz, his chances by now depend on three other players taking out Carlos, Jannik and Novak, and then maybe he will have a chance.

Juan Carlos is... not well.
– After a concussion or a very heavy blow, you go through different stages: shock, anger, mourning, acceptance… Which stage do you feel you are in?

– Right now, coming out of the mourning. After a month, it is obviously more than accepted and it is time to think about other things. I am not following the Australian Open very closely. You hear about the results, but I am not watching the matches. In the end, it always hurts a little, doesn’t it? Seeing a whole different team there on the bench, and the nostalgia of having lived so many things. The memories are right there, on the surface, and it always takes a bit of effort.

I saw the video of this interview in the original Spanish and it's like he was talking about a romantic break-up
