Jazzyg has won the 2021 French Open edition of You Can't Win Jack, finishing just one point ahead of the second placer, the Moz. Both were buoyed by their successful men's wooden spoon winner picks. That spoon winner was Gilles Simon. Simon lost to Márton Fucsovics in the first round, who lost to Fabio Fognini in the second round, who lost to Federico Delbonis in the third round, who lost to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the fourth round, who lost to Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals, who lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the semifinals, who lost to Novak Đoković in the final. The entire final top 5 picked Simon: jazzyg, the Moz, jatagen, ktothem1, and deelighted2. While patrick was closer to the other end of the scoreboard, he also correctly pegged Simon.
On the women's side, Laura Siegemund was the ultimate loser. She lost to Caroline Garcia, who lost to Polona Hercog, who lost to Markéta Vondroušová, who lost to Paula Badosa, who lost to Tamara Zidanšek, who lost to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who lost to Barbora Krejčíková.
Thank you all for playing, and we hope to see you back in two short weeks for the Wimbledon edition of the contest!
Congratulations, jazzyg, 2021 French Open YCWJ champion!

Thanks for running the contest, togtdyalttai.
After getting both wooden spoon winners at the Aussie Open several years ago and still not finishing first, I thought I never would get a medal. Got lucky that no one else had Simon No. 1 because my other picks were meh.
