I read that the Jacksonville win + SNF tie was a 700-1 liability to Vegas (the books not the Raiders) - to the tune of 1M - so they may be offering some upgrades to Staley

14 seconds left and no time outs and Dallas run it.

I just don’t understand how NFL coaches and players can make decisions like this. (Forget if it was a designed run of if Dak took off.)

Then they decide not to give the ball to ref to spot it. Is knowledge of the rules not a necessity for being an NFL player?

Totally puzzling. Why run it? They were being able to get close enough for the Hail Mary, but, as you say, it seems that knowledge of the rules is an optional skill.

Was like the kickoff last week where I was yelling at the tv for player to step out of bounds before touching the ball. If I know the rules well enough to yell them at the players (from my couch :) ) why can't the players?

It looked like a designed play to me...probably to get a higher probability shot at the end zone after the spike.

I wonder if he went 5 yards or so too far.

I'd think two shots to end zone would have been better than one shot just ten yards closer. And if that was the design he definitely went down too late. In some post game analysis I also heard "18 seconds" was the magic time where you would have had enough time to do that and pull off the spike anyway. So definitely a bit of an error.

That has got to be one of the worst losses ever, for Buffalo or anybody else.
You are up by 3 with 0:17 left. You allow the FG, and then KC scores a TD like in, 30 seconds?
That defense has got to feel bad. Awful, really.

The funny thing is you could have almost said the same thing for KC, just with a little more time left, if they had lost :)

If you could have asked me my ideal things that would happen during playoffs that would probably be #2 behind the Pack winning Super Bowl :)

I just recently realized that the Joe Burrows on the field now is this guy. I told y'all sometimes I'm a little slow.

That is a major upset. I don't know enough about football to ask whether it is time to re-think Andy Reid's system.
