Garbie has faded, and it seems she is unable to get any traction. By now, it can't be injuries; she has been off the tour long enough to recover. but she may be in one of those vicious circles: she doesn't win, so she gets very little (if any) competitive time on court, so she goes into the next tournament with no matches under her belt, so she loses and... repeat.
She has to start playing 250's. See if she can get some wins, and that winning feeling. Let's remember Agassi did it, ages ago. Went all the way down to Challengers (played two, and lost both finals). But that got him back on track by playing several matches in a row.

Ekaterina born in 1988 aka Katya that we all know and was ranked in the top 10 during her career remains retired and living in Moscow. Going by photos, since her IG is in Russian, I believe she does some coaching with young players, perhaps regularly.
Fantastic win by Zidansek over Fruhvirtova. That forehand is still world class and it did damage. Had almost twice the number of winners than Linda did. I hope she's able to make her way back to the top 50. She's a fun player to watch.
I had Fruvirtova winning in predictions. So it figures
I also have a soft spot for Zidansek. She played the finals here in Bogota a couple of years ago, against Camila, and it was a hellacious match for her. The crowd was borderline out of control. The TV analyst I was watching almost called her names. Yet she behaved very well, and after losing, was gracious. So, points for her.
MCOS fought back in both sets to defeat Niemeier 7-6(5), 7-5. Niemeier had 42 ufe's.

Neat
I did notice when I was looking up Makarova 1.0 that there were two other entries with the same name, but I just assumed they were multiple entries.
Also, I saw this today. I think it's the first time I've seen her face, there's no photo on the WTA site. Maybe she's making her way up the rankings and we'll hear more of her. This topic has come up before so she's at least getting into WTA qualifying now and then in the last year and a half or so.
