Coric also continuing to struggle returning from injury. He had one good tournament, but otherwise some dismal results.

That was triple ligaments broken. Brutal. Yet, Muster did come back. Let's hope Zverev's doctors are as good as Thomas.
And, I would be weary going back on clay. The first slide I would be like "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
The thinner Zverev. He did look like that, but I wonder if it is the atrocious shirt selection. To wear that shirt, you need to be Michael Mmoh, or Rafa. Zverev is so long that he does look thin.
First of all, I don't remember Muster's knee injury. Now that is possibly because I was in elementary or middle school when it happened and not following tennis all that closely yet, but good to know. And I think Sascha also had 3 torn ligaments but in his ankle not his knee. Who knows if either his or Goffin's is comparable, but it's better than nothing.

Interestingly enough, I was looking at his legs this last match when I thought, he's just thinner right now. I've said many times that he can't pull off the sleeveless and that was before the injury, so my opinion is definitely unchanged.

Gauff - Potapova is wild. Extreme swings on both sides...
Potapova was in control of the 1st set. Gauff won it.
Gauff was in control of the 2nd set. Potapova won it.
They are headed to the 3rd now, after the 10 minute heat break.
For anyone looking for a match to watch, I suggest this one - not so much for the quality of the tennis as for the wild unpredictability.

I was thinking Matteo big time. Jabeur, Matteo, and Coric are related to coming back from injuries. Ruud, Kasatkina, and Kudermetova are not, as far I know at least. Samsonova is another one non-injury related slump I believe.

That's not a great outcome for Gauff. A rare case of losing to someone outside the top 20.

Matteo was still favoured to win the match. Made it a profitable endeavour. (As was CoCo - also pleasant for the pocketbook)

She was gassed. The heat got to ger more than to Potapova.
Speaking of Anastasya: had never seen her before. Very easy on the eye. Easy to root for.

Taylor Townsend and Leylah have formed an interesting doubles team...
At Indian Wells, they took the top team of Krejcikova/Siniakova to the limit before losing in the silly match tiebreak thing...
Today, they beat the once successful team of Babos/Mladenovic.

Not bad for two players who teamed up for the first time ever at Indian Wells. They seem to have found an instant and natural chemistry. Both are lefties, too, which helps.
And they're not afraid to both be at the net at the same time - and move back in tandem when necessary - which is all too rare in today's doubles.

Today, they were ahead 5-1 in the 2nd set after winning the 1st. But they only won it in a tiebreak after having several (10 or so) match points. But they pulled it out.

Felix just beat Montiero in 2 close tiebreak sets.

The (2nd set) Felix TB was very entertaining. They were hitting bombs, and Thiago mixed in a drop shot (after Felix had DF'd on match point)

At least Collins is looking more alive in this second set. it's 3 all on Pegula's serve..

I agree she is also not playing any sort of good tennis.
But she is losing to a higher ranked player.
