Svitolina is wearing a dress that may be the ugliest garment ever to grace a tennis court. She should get a code violation it is so offensive.

I know that right now, Raducanu's win at the USO has got to be the weirdest victory ever.JTContinental wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 10:54 am Peyton Stearns takes out Ostapenko for yet another seeded loss.
But Ostapenko's 2017 win here is right up there. Her record after that win, at this tournament, is impossible to fathom if you consider she is a former champion. The losses are insane, as is this one. Who on Earth is P. Stearns? Ranked below 200, and Ostapenko loses the match.
It is insane.

Stearns is a college standout just starting her pro career. Not that Ostapenko should have lost to her.

Ostapenko has 2 QF and 1 SF in slams in addition to her 2017 win. Raducanu's next best result is R16.ponchi101 wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 2:06 pmI know that right now, Raducanu's win at the USO has got to be the weirdest victory ever.JTContinental wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 10:54 am Peyton Stearns takes out Ostapenko for yet another seeded loss.

I probably would substitute Ostapenko with Andreescu

Re: '23 RG Day 4 OoP & Discussion
Sure. But here at RG, her record is all over the place. That title, and then a bunch of 1R and 2R. If you take out those 7 wins in 2017, it is the slam with her worst record.mick1303 wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 2:56 pmOstapenko has 2 QF and 1 SF in slams in addition to her 2017 win. And remember, I am saying that Raducanu's win is still the weirdest of them all. So far, nothing beats that. Ostapenko's might be en par with Majoli's.

Re: '23 RG Day 4 OoP & Discussion
Taro Daniel did not expect Carlitos losing a set to Taro Daniel...
But credit where credit it due. Daniel played a solid set; almost no UE's.
