Do postponed matches have to resume on the same court? Is that why matches postponed at the end of Monday weren't finished Tuesday before new matches were started? In other words, why didn't Fritz/Hanfmann have priority over every other match yesterday?

They don't usually put the suspended match on first. If you think about it those players were playing until after 9pm on Monday evening, and probably didn't get to bed until close to midnight, so they were on 2nd on every court yesterday, and yes the preference is that the match resume on the same court.meganfernandez wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 3:36 pm Do postponed matches have to resume on the same court? Also, it seems that the rain is moving back in. Renee Stubbs mentioned in commentary that the grounds crews were getting ready to cover the courts again.

Just noticed that all the 2nd round matches on the outer courts, and the too be assigned list have now been cancelled for the day. Good news is that it looks like they might be able to add 2 matches to Centre Court at the right that the top players are winning so far.

Azarenka/Podoroska, with plenty of players in the SP, has been cancelled.

Not first, but later in the day.skatingfan wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 3:44 pmThey don't usually put the suspended match on first. Reason I picked her. I know Karo is no longer a top player, but 2-6 against a player ranked 225... Pretty bad.

Borna Coric seems to have fully committed to having a Richard Gasquet like career, always in the mix, but not gonna win.
