BTW what happened to Ruud? He ate a bagel in the fifth set.

Fritz has a high ranking, but doesn't really have a high class. Doesn't posses that extra something some players are able to bring at Slams.

I don't think Medvedev has a good record in postponed matches. Wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if he loses tomorrow.

At the pace this Murray/Tsitsipas match is being played the 11p curfew is a factor.

Murray takes the 2nd set with a great tiebreak, 6-7(3), 7-6(2) vs. Tsitsipas, which means this match won't likely finish today before curfew (11pm).
Tsitsipas lost a set where he hit 24 winners and 12 unforced errors.
Murray hit 2 unforced errors in 65 minutes.
Peak.

Stefanos also played a five setter yesterday and is scheduled to play doubles with his brother tomorrow.Spinopsys

The thing about Rafa, Novak, Roger, Stan and Andy is that they make every match a misery for you over five sets. They want you in the gutter fighting over a half empty bag of chips and stub of a roll your own. Few seem willing to get their kicks messy, except for Carlos and Holger who really throw themselves into it with gusto.
Short of the power his opponent hasMurray is being very precise and crafty with his shotmaking against Tsitsipas, similar to Djokovic and that is going to wear the Greek down completely if this goes the distance #Wimbledon #Tennis

Murray slid on the grass and seemed to pull a groin muscle before closing out the set.

I can't remember what thread there was a post about sponsors on Centre Court - just wanted to add a few more:
Polo Ralph Lauren - ball kids, and officials clothing
Evian - water bottles
Barclays - on the chair umpire's chair stand

Or it will give time for the swelling to restrict his movement.

You beat me to it.skatingfan wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 9:49 pmOr it will give time for the swelling to restrict his movement.
Anything that you pull is not going to heal overnight. As the injury cools down, as you say, it might swell.
I have a new broken record motif: "Grass has become the most dangerous of surfaces". We are seeing a lot of players being wrong footed and stumbling for bad falls. Much worse than clay.
