Svitolina's football skills ! She kicked the stray ball away behind her back, no look!

see, I would say "only twice" for Svitolina. Both in 2019, and Serena annihilated her 3 snd 1 at the US Open. The serve...

Let's remember. Halep won Wimbledon, with a skills-set that is similar to Svitolina's.

Swiatek would normally be the favorite in a tiebreaker but not today! Mentally fragile!

Gutted for Pegula. I didn't see the end, but she should have won the match. She just isn't a closer, is she?

Yeah, she played out of her mind in the final. Absolutely on another plane. Anyone can win if they hit that gear! I think Halep was a little more aggressive than Svitolina in general.

In the last analysis, tiebreakers are about mental strength..

She proved us wrong! But Svitolina won't go away. Will Iga play the third with the same conviction? If so, I think she wins the title.

Swiatek recovers from 1-4 and 5-5 in the tiebreak to level at one set all. Will that be the lost opportunity for Svitolina? Or can she come back strong and win like vs Azarenka?

Aren't you dismissing Sabalenka and Rybakina prematurely here? Both will be favorites in the final no matter what happens in this match.meganfernandez wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 2:50 pm She proved us wrong! But Svitolina won't go away. I'd take Swiatek over them, on winning mentality/fight. Maybe not Rybakina, I don't know... but Rybakina is inconsistent. I still think Swiatek is better in big moments and under pressure than Sabalenka. Sabalenka has the tools to win but she still loses big matches more than Iga does.Suliso wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 2:52 pmAren't you dismissing Sabalenka and Rybakina prematurely here? I still think Jabeur can win the title if she plays her best. I'd love to think Keys could.... she is playing great... but mentally I don't know.

I'm going with Swiatek. She's the better player and played a gutsy tiebreak. But I'd love for Svitolina to win.

Svitolina punishing that second serve! Great to see. I thought only Ryba znd Saba could do it...
