Maybe Hsieh and Strycova are playing with fellow countrywomen to practice or qualify for the Olympics. Hsieh's partner is Chinese, not Taiwanese. Not sure if China and Taiwan have separate Olympic teams? I hope we see Hsieh and Strycova reunite. Love them.

I agree these seem like Olympic pairings. If I remember from Rio, there is a minimum amount of tournaments you had to play together in order to qualify.

No, the only requirements are to participate, or be available to participate in Davis Cup/Billie Jean King Cup, and even then there are plenty of exemptions. Qualifications are based on rankings. Doubles players ranked in the top 10 as June 10, 2024 (first ranking after the French Open) are guaranteed entry, and everyone else will be based on combined ranking of the partners using the highest of singles/doubles ranking.

Andreeva has not played due to age limitations, but her last outings were very good. However, I have not seen anything from Parks to share your enthusiasm. The draw will tell, as Suliso says, but Parks can be gone in 1R even against another unseeded player.
