Schmiedliva had 15-match losing streak at Slams from 2015 to 2020 until she beat Venus. So that’s why Vee is still getting WC. To help people snap their losing streaks. :)

I am not able to watch the match, but Tommy Paul is crushing Davidovich-Fokina early. Paul looked awesome in the final three sets against Safiullin, but that made me wonder if my eyes were playing tricks on me considering Safiullin's mediocre career, so I figured D-F could take him.

Nice call so far. Paul has won 9 of the first 10 games.

TRUTH. Seriously- I have been bringing this up all the time. Venus is your Gateway Drug to success. V loses to Volynets- and her results improved considerably (for awhile)....MORE significantly- Zhu come backs from a third set deficit and beats an injured V. And, look where her career is now. Future HOF Naef is next on deck.... :gorgeous:

Shelton up two sets to one over Karatsev, was just now standing and talking to his coaching team. I really, really don't like this.

I'm glad you were. I have no idea what I just watched  (obviously, having watched the whole video I saw the title of the "show" but wow...)
My definition of an intellectual is someone who can listen to the William Tell Overture without thinking of the Lone Ranger.

LOL, this video was from a season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The chick who went "how dare you" after being called "beast" used to be on the show- Eileen Davidson. She's a soap opera actress- and John and I always chuckle over this BAD Soap Opera-level, melodramatic and overly-acted silliness moment. Now, Megan gave me the opportunity to share this video with all of you. :gorgeous:

I suspect that what Megan meant was that she was prepared for some snark from me and/or others, for her DARING to desecrate (albeit, deservedly, at least arguably) V's game. :)

Elise playing a solid defense and sprinkling that with a few winners. She is playing well.

Everyone laughed at me when I said Mertens would be a challenge. and that Coco's whole draw is tough. Wozniacki would be next, right? Tough.
