Well she's been slowly rising in the rankings over the past 10 years. I don't know if she will remain in the top 10 for more than a year, but she is achieving a lot this season.

Not a shabby accomplishment. #1 in a country with such a history in tennis is great.
Correct me if I am wrong. The USA gets a new #1, and so does the UK? (Draper). Or was that last week?
