When I looked up career win-loss percentages for Vondrousova and Jabeur, the result was not quite what I expected. Vondrousova is 61.1, while Jabeur is 58.8. I consider this a core stat, quite representative of player's worth.

As you know in Slams, all you need is to win 7 matches in a row for a two week stretch (Raducanu was the exception as she won 10 to win USO).

Remember, until recently, Ostapenko lost in first round every year except for the week she won the French.

That's not obvious at all.
Bet you three dog chewed balls that the men's final will not go 5 sets. ;)

I have enough spare dog chewed balls to take that bet. I suspect that the men's final will be more competetive then the women's final. However, there is not an obvious "Competativeness" metric.

Not quite. She also made Wimbledon semis and 3 other quarters in the slams.

Indeed. No measure for competitiveness. So, the bet is:
The men's final will NOT reach 5 set (me). 3 chewed up balls

Carlitos 3, 3 and 3.

I am surprised Medvedev didn't take a set tbh.

Me too. I thought he had a good chance in this match. Not the favorite, of course, but I felt he would be competitive.
But not with that score, and the match was never in doubt

Dave: a highly competitive final.
I transferred your 3 dog chewed balls
