BTW, I still think Alcaraz will win. Unless he is injured.

Agree. He is in trouble. And one thing about Tiafoe is that he plays so carefree, insane tennis that if the balls are landing in, he will not freeze.
Remember. Carlitos wins every third slam. He is not due these weeks (will win the Aussie ;) )

Lulu Sun, a 123rd-ranked, 23-year-old (and that's her career high) qualifier from New Zealand, has reached the fourth round, having defated Zheng Qinwen and Zhu Lin along the way. She had a 24-13 record coming in to Wimbledon, but that was mostly at ITF events, winning two of them. She was ranked 219 at the beginning of the year, having gotten up to a peak of 189 in August of last year.

Around the end of the 4th set tiebreaker, Tiafoe took a nasty fall, possibly re-injuring what looks like an already bad knee.

Guess Carlos is officially one of Tiafoe's clowns now. :fuelfire:

AND, btw, i figured this would be a very tough match for Carlos. Tiafoe beat Carlos on CLAY in 2021, and gave Carlos a 5 set hell of a fight in the 2022 US Open SF. Tiafoe clearly has plenty of confidence playing against Alcaraz.

Truly, as seemingly light-hearted the comment was when Tiafoe said here during his last post-match interview that he was coming for Carlos- and Carlos responding in kind- I was wondering if this comment had gotten in Carlos' head. Which I also suspect was an intention of Tiafoe's.

IN any case- thank GOODNESS for this win. I am still a big fan of Frances- when he plays well, he is such a fun player to watch- while i truly hate his clowns comment. Very bad look.

That's a great win for Raducanu and now back in the top 100 at last.
