Day 3 Pick Summary

Popyrin 33
Tien 18
Bergs 10
Hijikata 10
Kecmanovic 8
Hurkacz 7
Boyer 5
Rune 5
Cerunodolo 4

Carreno Busta 3
Berrettini 2
Coria 2
Mpetchi Perricard 1

Alive 58
Dead 60
Unknown 0

:ax

Commentary:
There Will Be Blood: We have picks on both sides of the Boyer vs Coria match.
Might be too early: Rune, Mpetchi Perricard
Probably good pick: Popyrin, Cerundolo, Hurkacz
Maybe good pick: Tien, Hijikata, Kecmanovic, Shelton, Sonego, Carreno Busta, Coric
I don't know enough: Bergs
About Mpetchi Perricard: his opponent, Monfils, won a tournament last week. This will be a tough match.

You obviously didn't use him too early. My interpretation is that may have been the only chance to use him. If so, great call.

If I hadn't picked Tien, I probably would have gone with Popyrin. Glad I didn't have a change of heart. As it was, I thought I was in trouble after watching Tien lose the first set, and was pleasantly surprised to check the scores when I woke up this morning to see that he had won. I dodged a bullet, at least, for one day.

Day 4 Pick Summary

We have 44 54people, but one of the had trouble with their Day 3 pick and made use of the Day 3.5 Pick option.
So we have 44 54 people and 45 55picks

Start 45 55

Humbert 24
Fils 8
Bonzi 7
Korda 5
Lehecka 4
Auger_Aliassime 1
Cazuax 1
Draper 1
Fearnley 1
Paul 1
Ruud 1
Thompson 1

Alive 36 46
Dead 9
Unknown 0

Comments:
Wow, we are all over the place. 12 picks out of 16 matches.

There Will Be Blood, again: We have picks on both sides of the Cazaux vs Fearnley match. I haven't been able to watch either of them play, but beating Kyrgios doesn't cause me to have a lot of confidence in Fearnley. We will see.

Probably good picks: Lehecka, Bonzi, Draper, Korda, Thompson, Auger-Aliassime, Humbert, and Fils

Less sure about: Paul
Paul is playing Nishikori, who is playing better then he (Nishikori) has for several years. Nishikori's ranking has not caught up with his improved play, so determing how well he is playing currently is difficult. This is likely to be a tough match.

Thanks,
Thankfully, no one picked Landaluce while the mistake was still in place.
