Gauff maybe the main title favorite, but also Fernandez is severely underpowered.

Sabalenka is better than Gauff. In my view it does not matter what their form is. Sabalenka is always the favorite when they meet.

When Sabalenka is at her top level, it does not matter what is Gauff's level. Nonetheless, the day form may vary. Gauff might just be "better tonight", as Pat Riley said.

I'd not be so categorical. Sabalenka is in her prime years there as Gauff obviously not yet.

Danilovic' easy power reminds me of Rybakina..she knocked me out of SP but I enjoyed watching her, so I came out even

If she had been well, Osaka would have won.

I sometimes feel Coco needs any top 5er to be a bit off for her to win. (provided she can serve well)

And Gauff beat her the last time they played.

Still does not change what I believe to be true. A win here would change my view.

What happened in the Collins match? I did not see the match. But it seems the Aussie crowd is starting to get a reputation here. Bad behavior whenever a local is playing. And it has happened before (Medvedev's match of a few years ago).
I saw her victory celebration and it was indeed "rude". But I did not see the match so I wonder if it was appropriate given the circumstances.

Begs the question of high a road you should take when faced with poor behavior directed at you.

Their H2H is 5-4 in favor of Gauff, but ok
