6-1 6-2 doesn't do justice to Navarro ..every point was contested...

I have said it before. Emma's strokes are lovely, biomechanically. But they have no bite. She can't push people with them.
It is the diametrically opposite to Iga, whose strokes are the ugliest I have seen since Seles but, like Seles, they have weight and pace.
Emma will be modern Radwanska, perhaps without the Slam final. A lovely player that can't push others.

I have said it before. Emma's strokes are lovely, biomechanically. But they have no bite. She can't push people with them.
It is the diametrically opposite to Iga, whose strokes are the ugliest I have seen since Seles but, like Seles, they have weight and pace.
Emma will be modern Radwanska, perhaps without the Slam final. A lovely player that can't push others.

I keep saying this on any available thread - Navarro has to be more aggressive. So many times vs Iga, she hit a great return and then did nothing with the second ball, which was there for the taking. Emma could use her athleticism at net more, too. Even if her strokes never have the bite that Iga's do, if she can make up for it with court positioning and pressure, and improve her serve a little bit, she can win with that game. She has time to adjust. She's 23.

He was revealing in his press conference. Said in those slower nighttime conditions, it's nearly impossible to get Sinner off his game. So he sort of agrees with you. He liked his chances a little better in the daytime, when Sinner might miss a little more and ADM could survive until the latter stages of a set, when scoreboard pressure and other factors might come into play. It was a good press conference, very meaty.

There's a bit of a controversy among fans about what looked like a double bounce. I saw it at full speed and it looked like it was a double bounce but nothing was called if I'm remembering correctly.

Player has to stop playing the point to challenge. Emma played out the point and then asked for the review. There was a lot of commentator discussion that it shouldn’t require the player to stop playing the point to challenge a not up (or lack of not up) call.

Shelton hit a similar ball in his match but Sonego challenged immediately and ended up winning the point after review. The review took awhile because it was so close.

DeMin doesn't have the power to hit through slower conditions ..and they are slower this year. Good to hear insightful and Frank comments from the players..normally thry simply utter platitudes ,I played well, he played the big points better' kind of thing.

True of many players .Pegula, Svitolina, Bencic, Alexandrova..but Navarro seems the best of them right now
