Oploskoffie Here they are: the scores after week 1, categorized by Beastie Boys tracks
As mentioned in The VIP Lounge, together we managed to pick 52 players before the first round of trades (which really is quite a diverse selection) and there are clearly teams in the mix geared a little more towards the clay, so week 2 should make things interesting!
Well done to first trio of leaders and on we go!
by texasniteowl huh? how did that happen! I'll take it...though I'm sure it won't last!
by ponchi101 Yeah. It is odd. I am in 4th... very odd.

Oploskoffie What a difference some clay makes... And Ugo Umbert

Well done this weeks top-3 high scorers
patrick (the only one of us with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina on his team) and
texasniteowl and
tenedab who both have Humbert on their team along with Fonseca.
At the halfway mark,
texasniteowl has not only retained the leading position but also created a welcome bit of distance from tenedab, Omegadoom
and New England Nitemare.
Will week 3 offer up any major changes? Most of the category A options are playing in Qatar with Zverev the lone exception playing in Rio which otherwise features only one other top-20 player, Musetti, who still wasn't 100% sure he'd be fit in time for his first match. Also, many of us are putting Alcaraz (back) in their team, but are we, possibly, overlooking good ol' Nole? Game on!

by ponchi101 Nole's inspiration for Qatar can be high because it would be #100. Other than that, I doubt he will go 100% after that injury at the Aussie.
by
texasniteowl yay! now let's see how much of that lead I lose since I did not trade Alcaraz back in!

by
Oploskoffie Owing to many of the favorites (read: players we'd expected to do just a little better than this...) exiting tournaments before finals, week three was a relatively low-scoring affair which enabled a couple of contestants to take some big steps!
Week three's highscore belongs to
FredX who moves up 8th to 2nd with just 25 points now the difference from texasniteowl who keeps the lead
ashkor87 wasn't far behind, seeing his faith in Adrey Rublev rewarded handsomely. Both FredX and and third-scoring Oploskoffie had Sebastian Baez on their team.
Going into the final week, things have compacted a little midfield, so the battle for the bronze seems far from over

Here's hoping for some... interesting results

by texasniteowl Ouch! I need to see who FredX had on his team! Great scores for this week by both FredX and ashkor87! I knew my score would be low, but ouch! and oops!

A deep bench of dirtballers. Hopefully that helps me in Santiago!

Good luck! We will see how things go! I left one trade on the table and I may or may not regret it!
by
Oploskoffie It was a special final week, with many contestants losing half (or more) of their chosen players within the first couple of days - just like during week 3. This left the door open for those who'd found the right selection of dirtballers and crucial trades. There were two standouts, one of which being Sebastian Baez, the other Laso Djere...
In 1st place, aided by 170 Baez points in the space of two weeks, it's
FredX!
In 2nd place it's
texasniteowl!
And in 3rd place by just a single point

thanks to the absolutely inspired category E trade that was
Opelka OUT, Djere IN, it's
Omegadoom! (who also added Baez for week 4!)
Congratulations!!! Bling will be distributed as soon as possible

by texasniteowl I can't believe I held on to a medal at all! Yay!
Major congrats to FredX and Omegadoom. I definitely should have paid more attention to the dirt ballers!
(And yes, I regret leaving one trade on the table. And I regret Zverev and De Minaur!)
by ashkor87 I did very well considering I didn't understand the game at all! And did nothing- only one trade, the compulsory one with Sinner ruled out!
by FredX Nice! Thanks for crunching the numbers and setting it all up!
by New England Nitemare Congrats to the medal winners: FredX, texasniteowl and Omegadoom. A job well done!!!
After a 2nd place finish week one, I faded badly....10th place....ouch!!

I'd like to shout "I regret nothing!" but then, yeah... Zverev, De Minaur, Nishikori and my most illogical pick of all, Fearnely. Because without any information whatsoever I sort of assumed he'd enter and get through the quallies at one of the hardcourt events, not play a challenger tournament in France

You did very well indeed!! And maybe this is a great way to go - less trades
For the future, in case of any questions about the game, just ask! One of us is bound to answer at some point
