Somehow this site continues to be WTA-centric. We have a joined thread for two ATP 500 tournaments, while each of WTA 500 and WTA 250(!) have their own dedicated threads...

I think threads are grouped by level. Since these are both 500 level they are in same thread, but WTA are different levels.

For example week of May 18 ATP Geneva and ATP Hamburg were 250/500 and had separate threads.

And sometimes WTA/ATP in same place grouped together too - like 'Herts last week.

Losing to a player with 2-7 lifetime record on grass is special kind of embarrassing. Rublev is all for it...

This site is not WTA centric. We cover both tours.
Sometimes, draws and info come out at different times. Or at the same time. If the draws and information for tournaments come out at about the same time, one topic may suffice. If they do not, it is obvious that posting them as they become available is the way to go.

It is not as if Rublev has ever been a force on grass himself. And he lost in a 3rd set TB, 8-6.
Yes, he is on his way out. His lack of variety was never going to make him a top 5 player, much less a slam winner. But this was one of those matches, nothing more.

Actually, the Rublev match was highly entertaining and well played until he choked and double faulted on match point before making two bad errors in a row after that to lose. Etcheverry took Popyrin to five sets in the second round of Wimbledon last year after winning his first round in straights. He is a lot better on grass now than he was earlier in his career.

Men's tennis on grass is by far my favorite in all of tennis unless it is two power players facing each other. The variety of points and the use of every inch of the court is different from any other surface even though serving and volleying is rare. The Alcaraz-Munar three-and-a-half hour battle may have been the most entertaining non-slam match I have seen this year. I used to love watching Nadal's matches on grass, too, because he had to play totally different shots than on any other surface and seemed to enjoy doing it.

I have had a ton of free time this week, allowing me to watch more tennis than at any time this year, and I have really enjoyed it.

I grew up hearing "clay is the great equalizer". Uhm, might be grass now.
Munar pushed Alcaraz to there sets, and 7-5 in the third, and Bublik just beat Sinner. So Carlos remains the main favorite at W, and Sinner will be the 2nd, but it seems that those odds may be a bit lower.
It will only take somebody believing for three full sets.

The big two are the favorites, but their chances are lower by a long way than at any other slam.

Djokovic and Draper definitely will have a shot to win Wimbledon.Not sure anyone else can go all the way, but Alcaraz nearly lost to Tiafoe in an early round last year before winning Wimbledon for the second time in a row, and Sinner lost to Medvedev. They are vulnerable, which is not the case for either on clay anymore and is not the case for Sinner on hard courts.

The tournaments are grouped by level. I thought that would be easier but if more people want a separate thread for each event that can be done.

I think this is just fine... has never been an issue before.
