That was a monumental win by Sinner for his 4th GS title. Indeed we really needed that.
Also I wonder what's the probability Sinner will end this year just a point away from a calendar year GS? I'd say as high as 75%.

First, I hate ponchi.

Second, Sinner shouldacoulda won this in straights. He drew blood first in each set. I'm still not sure what happened at the business end of the first set. Sinner should have sailed after consolidating his break. Anyway, congratulations to him. Very well deserved.

I would not go that far up. I say that the way these two are playing, a re-match at the USO seems very likely. And their matches are never 75-25.
But a very good chance he has.

Quite a common feeling, especially outside of my family circle. But, what did I do this time?

I think there is higher chance of Alcaraz losing earlier. If they do meet then of course not 75-25.

I think we need a Sinner's victory. We don't want this rivalry to become one sided.
This little gem, ya dingbat.

I cannot tell you all how much I have HATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this Wimbledon. LOL, every single player and team I have been rooting on lost. My absolutely favorite tournament. UGGHHHHH.
And, it all leaves a bad taste in my mouth for reasons already elaborated on. Plus, the Dimitrov thing. And, as I am already being a fan poor sport as is, LOL.....So, congrats to the fans of Sinner and Iga.

.....Well, WE did not need that.
Carlos ain't gonna be in the final of the US Open. He has given me no real sign of winning another Open, at this point in time. I mean, LOL, HEY, BEN, go beat Sinner in the final.

Not often it happens that in both men and women finals the players I root for are winning. But this was one of those rare occasions.

Now Sinner has 3 legs of career GS. The same as Alcaraz. And Carlos will have his chance to improve on this before Sinner. But he'll have to do it in Australia - on Sinner's best surface. The same way now Sinner will have to fight for the missing piece in Paris - on the best surface of Carlos. Who will be the first to break through?

I'd guess Alcaraz albeit not next year.

Now they will take turns trying. Which will make their upcoming matches even more interesting.

Ah, a great addition to the sport's "What if?" legends.
Because Grigor was playing outstanding tennis. But we will never know, won't we?

Other than having it won already once, and being clearly better than anybody other than Sinner?
What kind of sign are your expecting? Stars aligning with his name over Arthur Ashe stadium?
