Can you beat the draw? Just one measly pick a day...

Part 1. Short Answer: No.

Part 2. Long Answer: Omegadoom stepped up at the very last minute and volunteered to run the WTA side. I am not willing to ask him to add anything to his plate for which he has not already volunteered.

Part 3. Final Answer: Only if someone other than Omegadoom or myself volunteers to run it.

Since this is practice, I'm fine having Act 2, of the WTA pool. We will just have 2 winners (Act 1 & Act 2), but if everyone dies again in just a few days, there will be no Act 3, for I will be done, lol!!

We will start anew, so everyone can pick any player from the Day 4 WTA Picks thread, like we did on Day 1.

Sidenote: From the bold sentence above, feel free to volunteer for the Contest Staff. They do a lot, more than you know, when it comes to running ALL of the contests we all enjoy playing.

I’ve always fancied running a SP if you need volunteers. Let’s face it, in the 13 years or so I’ve been on here I usually flame out in the first round or two, so I’d have extra time to come up with a snarky commentary

Should we re-name the new running pool the ZOMBIE POOL? After all, we call those that keep picking players after dying in regular pools just that.
Thanks, Omegadoom, for re-starting that. I gather I will survive one more pick, again ;)

Good point. I gather it was practice in the sense that it is telling us how these WTA pools will be going in the near future. No pick will ever be a safe one.

Day 3 ATP Picks summary
Start 3

Norrie 1
Opelka 2

Live 1
Dead 2
In Limbo 0

Even though Norrie won the first set, it was in a tie-breaker. Draper is playing better than I would have expected before the tournament, so I understand the pick. While I expect a tough match, I think Norrie will win.
I am expecting Opelka to win more easily than Norrie.

Vondrousova, Mertens, and Samsonova all lost already! If Keys loses then it’s another bloodbath. We really are useless

Draper has a lot of potential and has been touted as a future top 20 player. But Norrie is just so consistent right now

When did Vondrousova lose? I mean, I agree we are useless, but when I can't even find the score...

Yeah, apparently Putintseva was supposed to play Vondrousova, but she played (and beat) Tsurenko instead?
