The lyrics:

Sucker punch somebody on a sidewalk
Carjack an old lady at a red light
Pull a gun on the owner of a liquor store
Ya think it's cool, well, act a fool if ya like
Cuss out a cop, spit in his face
Stomp on the flag and light it up
Yeah, ya think you're tough
Well, try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't
Try that in a small town
Got a gun that my granddad gave me
They say one day they're gonna round up
Well, that (expletive) might fly in the city, good luck
Try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't
Try that in a small town
Full of good ol' boys, raised up right
If you're looking for a fight
Try that in a small town
Try that in a small town
Try that in a small town
See how far ya make it down the road
Around here, we take care of our own
You cross that line, it won't take long
For you to find out, I recommend you don't
Try that in a small town
Try that in a small town
Ooh-ooh
Try that in a small town

Aldean grew up in Macon, Georgia, a city of more than a 100k people. That is not a small town.

Now Jason Aldean will be remembered as “the guy who wrote the song about lynching” instead of “the guy who had a mass shooting at his concert.”

Sorry. Don't get it. What happened to/with Floyd/The Wall to quote that line?

I like to ask that question in a crowd of people, those familiar with Pink Floyds "The Wall", often respond "Yes, remember how she said that we would meet again some sunny day". (the following lyric after "does anybody here remember Vera Lynn") The rest of the people are left wondering who Vera Lynn is and why do only a couple of us know her.

I'm glad you cleared that up because I was one of the ones asking "who?"

Imagine being in the music business for 25 years and never thinking to take a voice lesson

AND she tried to rap!
