It did feel like an exhibition match didn't it?

#WTAMontreal Final in an hour and a half according to my source.

I assume Jess will be favoured by the market as Samsonova must be a bit knackered after the exertions of the last 2 hours.

There were very few rallies that were long. I don't think it was an extenuating match.

She could be nicely warmed up, energized with confidence, and feeling no pressure since people won't expect her to win twice in one day.

FanDuel as of this moment does have her as a decent fav, -156 to Samsonova at +130

Not a good day of tennis anywhere. 7 sets, only 1 reached 6-4.

Yeah, simply easy breezy for Pegula. Not much of a match.

There are fans who only buy tickets for the Final(s) of a tournament. I feel sorry for the fans in Montréal but after the rainout yesterday this kind of outcome was always possible.

Sigh. I thought there was still "value" at -156 but didn't do anything about it. Oh well.
Regardless of how it occurred in the final I am happy for Jess

So Rybakina blames the WTA for the scheduling she feels may have caused her injury. Her comments start at about 1m43s. I think she said that the issue was money but I'm not sure. This is about 2m35s or so.
