They sure pack Florida with the great thinkers of the world. I wish I could be more sympathetic to Florida, but they hate me there. I hope the minority good people of Florida get to safe ground, the rest can fend.

He can say he refused it because his administration did not need the Dems help (and have paperwork and footage to prove it), and then accept it, get it running, and take the full credit, because the average republican will not look for the history of the improvement.
Remember. They are good at politics, not actually governing.

- Hurricane Milton is quickly approaching west-central Florida, with the National Weather Service (NWS) issuing tornado watches and watches for parts of the state.

Several tornadoes have already been reported, including one crossing I-75, and residents are advised to seek shelter.

A tornado warning remains in effect until 9 p.m. ET, covering areas including Miami, Tampa and Cape Coral.

Wind gusts of up to 70 mph and hail are also possible, affecting an estimated 12.6 million residents, as well as schools and hospitals.

Hurricane Milton is expected to double in size before making landfall Wednesday night or early Thursday, potentially bringing storm surges of up to 15 feet.

This follows the devastation left by Hurricane Helene just a few weeks earlier.

I have lived in NYC all my life and never seen an announcement like this before.

These things happen every few years - they can cause problems to the electric grid, and communication issues.

Yes but they usually don't announce them like this here. I've been seeing information about this one for days now.

And why only warning NYC? It is not as if the rest of the planet is warmed by a different sun.
