Isn't Iceland basically a volcano with some outcrops? I also believe they generate a lot of their power through geo-thermal.

Yes, I think they do generate all or most of their own energy. Jealous.

It is a tiny island. 300,000 people. So small that that they have an app to tell you if you may be dating a cousin.
Their energy needs must be minute compared to the rest of the world.
Also: they are pretty ingenious with their electric grid.
