Is it really that easy to dramatically improve a shot at adult age? Ifit was more players would have done it.

I don't think she needs dramatic improvement. She is not hitting 40 MPH forehands that land on the service line. She has power already, which is a more difficult thing to tinker with.
She already has a BMW of a forehand; she just needs to move up to a Porsche.

Sakkari drops her match, which was way more difficult than the ranking says. Muchova played at her level, and bounces her off.
I like Muchova's game. Solid serve, solid volleys, and her slice BH was working very well today.

And there you go. How hard is it to predict this sport? Sasnovich out to Tauson in 1R. Maybe not that much of a surprise, until you see the score. 12 straight games for Tauson.
Below a few players at the top, the depth of the WTA is very even.

And you were the only one and I congrat you on that. Brave, and solid, pick.

Not surprised at all about Sakkari.

I am a bit because this is how she maintains her ranking: making it deep in all tournaments. So, to have a 1R loss is something that I don't associate her with.
Obviously this time it was not to be, and we spoke about how this match was a tough pick for 1R for both, but from our theories to see it actually unfold there is a bit of a stretch.
Again, FOR ME.

In unlucky lucky loser news, Osorio did not get the spot in the draw left by Kalinina. Fortunately for her, McNally has withdrawn

My wife remarked that Muchova looks like. Chris Evert..I told her she is crazy but then I saw it .there are some moments when the face and expression, that puzzled semi-frown, does look like Chris Evert..does anyone else here think so?
