Completely listless on a theoretically favorable surface. Surprising outcome for sure

....My pick, too. THANK you, Ponchi and Suliso. :gorgeous:

....This is her first win at a Slam- and she's 28 years old. :gorgeous: :gorgeous:

....I at LEAST thought that this was the chick who played with Novak at the Olympics- where Novak bailed out with the bronze medal mixed match. But, nope. That was Nina Stojanović. :gorgeous: :gorgeous: :gorgeous: :gorgeous:

No one here watched Thiem vs Tsitsipas? The fourth and fifth sets were pretty good with Stefanos winning it 3-6, 7-6(1), 6-2, 6-7(5), 7-6(8)

I watched the last few games and 5th set tiebreaker. Thiem yet again blows a great opportunity. He had the chance to go up a match point in the 5th set tiebreaker- and helplessly dumped a short forehand into the net. Saved one match point- then, back to errors. WAY too many heartbreaking losses for Thiem.

....However.....YAY BEN AND CHRIS!!!!! :yahoo:

Paolini forcing Kvitova into a TB to decide the second set and possibly the match.

AND of course, after almost coming back from an 0-5 deficit in the tiebreaker, it's on to the third set.

LOL, I should be used to this by now. BUT- of course, Petra plays very well at regular tour events, and then c r a p at Slams- AND on Center Court. UGGGHHHH. :gorgeous:

Paolini takes the second set 7-6(5). Kvitova had 19 UFE's to 9 for Paolini in the second set.

FORTUNATELY, like LAST year's 1R match, Petra wins this match 6-1 in the third. LOL, since we saw Paolini in Chicago, and from last year's Wimbledon 1R match, I now always call Petra's opponent today Little Fat Face. The pest of it all. :gorgeous:

6-1 in the third. No problems.
Must have been tough waiting in that locker room for so long.

PFFFFT on this. It was far tougher watching this struggle. PLUS....NO PROBLEMS you say?!?!? :freaking: :gorgeous:

Meanwhile, poor Cressy so far! His ranking is now in triple digits. Had opportunities to win the third set tiebreaker, and he saved a few set points. NOW to the 4th set. I am assuming they'll stop before 11 p.m., unless Wimbledon got some kind of royal dispensation to play on if Cressy wins the 4th somehow.

I watch Paolini a lot and welcomed her winning the second set but as soon as Petra took that break I knew Little Jasmine's day was over. She played well though. I'm not sure if the coach is new or not but she played much better tennis than she usually does.

I switched to that one too (it's the only game in town at the moment). Cressy is the serve and volley guy right?

Yup. Interestingly, for a lot of the match, Cressy has been staying back during return games.

I'll look for that. Thanks.
