Maybe Samsonova is too focussed on doubles?!

Ashkor, it was one set, against a player that can play out of her mind at times, after a winning streak of 15 matches. And yes, she lost four games in a row. But she had won four in a row herself to close the second and start the third (I think).
It is how she played ..did you watch it ? The body language ..she had given up...why ?!
I saw the highlights. I didn't see what you saw. She was still playing, but at the end, the shots were not landing in.
Can't say I agree with her giving up.

That is a bit extreme. In tennis terms, Duran was down 1-6, 0-6, 0-4 with Sugar Ray serving. Not the case in the match we are talking about.

The story of the Andreeva sisters is captivating - this is their first meeting, but they even refuse to play points in practice, apparently.. sisterhood! a lot like the Williams sisters.. though Mirra has apparently taken the lead early..in their career, I mean. It took a while for Serena to overtake Venus..

Serena won her first slam before Venus ;)
Yes, the Andreeva's are a good story. And it seems that the younger one will also be the best.

There's got to be something about being named Emma and doing really well at the USO, because after that happens, poof!, the carriage becomes a pumpkin again.
Or it is just becoming one of my faves.
She is having a horrible Asian tour.

Surprised by that result. I thought Mirra has more weapons.
Maybe she felt more awkward on court today than her big sister.

True, Although Venus was first to reach a final between them, and won their first head to head Slam final. Still never felt like she was very far behind to "pass" Venus.

Speaking of Venus, is she still not retired? I haven't heard anything yet.
