by ti-amie Some Red carpet looks. Mostly women so far. Because of the gallery format I will post one at a time. I also have no idea who most of these people are.

by ti-amie

by ti-amie One look at this and all of a sudden I want a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich...

by ti-amie

Uh Julia Roberts did it better. So did Diane Keaton. Sorry Ayo.

by ti-amie Mindy Kaling not looking like an overstuffed sausage (see above). She looks quite nice here.

by ti-amie Great look for a mature woman. Siriano once again designs for the person who will wear the garment not for the "house" look of the season.

by ti-amie Cate was the late Joan Rivers standard when it came to how she presented herself on the red carpet. For me she's hit or miss lately. I don't care for this look.

by ti-amie

She is wearing this well. The bodice could be an eighth of an inch bigger but she doesn't look like an overstuffed sausage.

by ti-amie

Again the bodice. It's too low here and looks like a wardrobe malfunction is about to happen.

by ti-amie

The gown looks good on her.

by ti-amie

My second best look of the night from what I've seen so far. It's not as beautiful as that Armani Privé sheer but it is still in the category of sheer done right.

I have no idea who she is.

by ti-amie

It's the prom queen! Seriously what is with that neckline/bodice?!

by ti-amie

Eh

by ti-amie

Zoe dressed like an award winner and she did become one.
Nothing is wrong with the gown per se it's just so ordinary. The fabric of the stole is exquisite though.

by ti-amie

The necklace is wonderful. The gown is just ordinary.

by ti-amie

Why does the gown look too small and unfinished? It has such potential but comes off as plain and uninteresting. I'm surprised at Dior.

by ti-amie

If you're going to come looking like fondant this is the look you want. She's my #3 as far as best dressed goes though. She's in the "mature" category but her arms are fine - close to skeletal- but don't sag so she gets a pass on this in my book.

by ti-amie

Nicole is model thin but her upper arms give away her age. I think the hair is too young for her too.

by ti-amie

Donatella and her team gave Dakota the perfect gown and she wore it perfectly. The waist is situated just below her natural waist and elongates her torso. The girls don't look as if they're smashed into a garment a size too small either. She's #4 on my list. I've lost count. I'll go back and fix it.

by ti-amie

I don't know how to feel about this. My initial reaction was what the frockk? Why?

by ti-amie

Zendaya and Law Roach bringing old Hollywood glamour back. The color of the gown is one you rarely see because it's so hard to work with.
The saucy curly bob is wonderful and allows you to see that choker (speculation here is it's from Bulgari because of the size of the stones and the design) which offsets the intensity of the bronze colored gown cooling it down. Someone else would've gone with topaz or another autumn colored stone but I think this works better.

This is my top look.

by ti-amie Now to go look for Colman Domingo

by ti-amie Image
Amy Sussman/Getty

Found him.

I want to whine so badly about the scarf around his neck instead of a tie but doesn't the scarf, including the fringe, make this look a bit more fun?

No? Sigh. I still think it works.

He's styled by Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald

Jesse Plemons

The tux is perfectly fitted. The shoes! What is going on around his neck? Dude?!

by ti-amie Image
Lee Jung-jae in Gucci

Why the casual shoe although that style of loafer is what Gucci is known for.

by ti-amie Image
Timothée Chalamet in Tom Ford

Timothée Chalamet and Haider Ackermann

Matty Matheson in Bode

“Red carpet dressing has to strike a fine balance. Stars want to have fun, but often they’ll push it too far off the deep (like a few of the looks we saw today *cough * Jeremy Strong). One star who always manages to strike this balance perfectly is Matty Matheson. Decked out in a white Bode suit with black Western-style accents, the chef and The Bear actor topped off his look with a bolo tie and some dainty slip-on shoes that the big man pulled off with panache. One of my favourite dressers every year, Matheson nailed it in 2025.” —Charlie Calver, head of digital content

by ti-amie Image
Chris Perfetti in Tanner Fletcher

I love him in this Chanel-ish look. He's in Abbott Elementary.

by ti-amie Image
Jeremy Strong (and his bucket hat) at the 2025 Golden GlobesDavid Fisher/Shutterstock

The folks at GQ went out of their way to drag him so I looked for this. I dunno looks like a walking midlife crisis to me. I guess the Corvette is parked nearby...

by Owendonovan I find Jeremy Strong barely watchable.

by Suliso Our Latvian animation (Flow) won the Golden Globe. :)

It's a fun suit but the pants don't fit him.

by JTContinental Thrilled for Demi Moore's win. It's not for the faint of heart, but The Substance was my favorite movie of the year, and probably in my top 5 favorites of all time.

Got to see that last week and, for the most part, would definitely recommend! Even more so if you can see it on a cinema screen :D Should easily make it on the shortlist for the Oscars.

by ti-amie Complete list of Screen Actors Guild Awards nominees
Updated 3:32 PM EST, January 8, 2025

LOS ANGELES (AP) — “Wicked” is the leading nominee for the 31st Screen Actors Guild Awards, with the Bob Dylan biopic “A Complete Unknown” following closely behind.

Out-of-control wildfires that swept across Los Angeles and Southern California on Tuesday night forced the Screen Actors Guild to cancel its plans to announce the nominations live Wednesday morning. The nominations were instead issued by press release.

Notable television nominees include “Shōgun,” “Abbott Elementary,” “The Bear” and “Hacks.”

The SAG Awards, hosted by Kristen Bell, will be streamed live on Netflix on Feb. 23. Bell is a nominee for the Netflix comedy series “Nobody Wants This,” as is her co-star Adam Brody.

This story has been corrected to show that Kieran Culkin is nominated for “A Real Pain,” not “A Complete Unknown.”

by mmmm8 A bit of outrage in Mexico over the award success of Emilia Perez, a French film done in non-Mexican Spanish with little involvement from Mexico.

by ponchi101 There is no way Chalamet will not win the Oscar. he is a good actor (good), and Hollywood cannot resist the "biopic about a beloved singer/musician" cliche. Ray, Rhapsody Boheme, Judy, Coal Miner's daughter, Rocketman (Egerton was nominated).
And there is no way that the most cultivated persona in music will let that happen.
